I asked Tinubu what he will do differently from Buhari if he becomes president- Baba-Ahmed reveals

The spokesman of the Northern Elders Forum (NEF) Dr Hakeem Baba-Ahmed has revealed he asked the presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu what he will do differently if he succeeds President Muhammadu Buhari, who is currently leading an APC government.

Baba-Ahmed who revealed this on Trust TV said the question was posed to Tinubu when he appeared at the interactive session of the Arewa Joint Committee in Kaduna some weeks back.

He said, “I was one of the people on the panel and I asked Tinubu, if you win, you will be an APC administration over another APC administration which hasn’t done very well in Nigeria. We wanted to put the presidential candidates in a situation where we ask them honest and difficult questions. We know from the North, the question is central to us. We have suffered a lot under President Buhari. We elected him with our votes of 95 percent in 2015 and maybe a little less in 2019. We went to President Buhari, we have paid a huge price for security, our economy, our young people. Virtually in the North, we are on our knees, so it was natural to ask Tinubu that question.”

He said Tinubu said, “I am being pitched against my principal, that in any case, it’s a matter of style. That is Buhari, I am Tinubu, I will do it my own way.”
