Nollywood actress, Jennifer Eliogu has opened up on why she left her acting career.

In an exclusive interview with media personality, Chude Jideonwo, Jennifer stated that she left her acting career to become a full-time housewife.

According to her, she wouldn’t have left her children for her career. As a mother hen, who is very protective of her kids, she noted how they were too young for her to leave.

The veteran further stated that she couldn’t be selfish enough to choose her career over her children.

“I wouldn’t have left my children for my career. They were young and I am a mother hen. I couldn’t be selfish enough to choose my career over my children. While I was abroad, I left my career and I was a full-time housewife”.

Similarly, Movie producer, Zik Zulu Okafor narrated how veteran actor, Saint Obi’s marriage took him away from his acting career and from his friends.

The movie producer, in an article dedicated to the deceased, spoke out on his turbulent marital life and how his wife, was calling the shots in the marriage.

According to him, he said his wife, who was a top executive at a telecommunication company, and her siblings saw him as a ‘gold digger’.

He alleged that Obi was always harassed by his wife’s siblings especially her brothers, which eventually led to the end of the marriage.

Zik disclosed that Saint Obi’s health deteriorated mid-last year before his death.

“Their marriage was at best a dramatization of love. It was quick. He barely told us that he found a wife. Then, the marriage happened. It was something of a mystique, only those involved understood the histrionics that played out. None of us who were his closest pals, who walked with him through the crucible to the crest of his career in Nollywood, was invited. The distance between us and the guy I admirably called Saint of the Storm had begun. This gulf would widen with each year. We saw him perhaps once a year after this marriage. Read more here.
