15-year-old boy breaks JAMB record as he scores 99 in Mathematics, 337 overall

A student of Bishop Otubelu Juniorate in Enugu, Lotanna Azuokeke, has been commended on social media for scoring 99 marks in Mathematics in the recently concluded Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

 

Lotanna, a native of Ọba in Idemmili South Local Government Area LGA of Anambra State, broke a record with his brilliant performance in Mathematics.

 

This was revealed in a statement released by the spokesperson of the Bishop of the Diocese of Nike (Anglican Communion), who founded the school, Dr Chiwuike Uba.

According to Uba, Lotanna also scored 88 marks in chemistry, 86 in physics, and 64 in the English Language, bringing it to a total score of 337.

 

“Azụokeke broke the record that set by Chidera Obi who scored 329 marks to emerge overall best, five years ago”, he added.

Uba further disclosed that the young champ applied to study electrical/electronic engineering at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN).

 

In other news, a Catholic Missionary seminarian has claimed that two Nigerian girls were burnt to death by their boyfriends in Burkina Faso.

The seminarian with handle @Kizisonofman took to Twitter to relay the incident on Thursday, May 3, while bemoaning the sad reality of many Nigerians in the West African country.
